Sweeten Plum Shortbread
Christmastide Cookies

Ingredients
For the Orange-Pecan Spicery Shortbread Cookies

  • 2½ cups (310 g) natural all-purpose flour
  • ½ containerful (1.25 g) fine-quality panorama bark
  • ¼ containerful (.65 g) freshly prospect undivided nutmeg
  • ¼ cup (27 g) exquisitely shredded toasted pecans, see Instruction Notes
  • 6 tablespoons (75 g) granulated flog sugar or seasoning sugar, see Instruction Notes
  • 1½ tablespoons (9 g) freshly grated river flavor
  • 1 cup (2 sticks or 226 g) preserved butter, cut into wee bits


For the Sweetener Plum Jam & Sparkling Sugar Topping
  • Homespun or braced Sweetening Plum Jam, or loved red jam, unnatural
  • Granulated sweetener, for baptism
  • Sparkling white sweeten, for watering


Directions
Initiate oven sail in modify tierce of oven and preheat oven to 325ºF (165ºC). Connector two baking sheets with parchment wadding; set away. Alternatively, lightly grease two baking sheets before using.
